All electrical installation and maintenance on roller shutters, should be carried out by a qualified electrician, who is fully conversant with BS 7671: 2001 - 16th Edition Wiring Regulations.
All electrical work that is carried out by unqualified persons is now against the law.
Details of the electrical contractor/qualified person should be added to the technical file for the relevant job.
BS 7671:2001 - 16th Edition Wiring Regulations are freely available and it is recommended that all companies have a copy.
